Welcomes to Bath, England

Advising and producing videos for a FTSE 250 Constructor

Sunflower were approached in 2013 to advise national housebuilder Crest Nicholson on a video, film and storytelling strategy for their major new development, Bath Riverside in the South West of England. The project saw the regeneration of the former Stothert and Pitt Craneworks, into a new community with 2,200 homes, a new energy center, a park, and a brand new bridge.

Sunflower spends the next 7 years telling stories for Crest.

This was the largest regeneration project in the South West of England. Sunflower were given the freedom to devise an Authentic Storytelling and Video Strategy, to tell behind-the-scenes stories from the development. We produced 100's of films, between 10 seconds and 10 minutes long, and became the lead storytelling company for Crest Nicholson. Eventually working across 12 development housing projects, creating an average of 84 films a year for the developer nationally until 2020.

Sunflower work with every aspect of a development.

Breaking Ground at Bath Riverside for B5.

Client Testimonial

Fareen Lalani, Senior Development Director, Regeneration, Kier Property. (Formerly of Crest Nicholson).

"Sunflower Newsroom are extremely talented and manage to capture the essence of a clients brief sometimes better than they are able to articulate it themselves! Loved what they were able to do at Bath Riverside for Crest Nicholson plc and Bath and North East Somerset Council.”

Open-access allowed Sunflower to craft Authentic Stories.

Sunflower Newsroom, Building Authentic Connections, had a wide brief for the video production and storytelling project in Bath. We had to create engaging, authentic video stories, that captured real-time events, opening ceremonies, architecture planning and public consultations, the building out of those plans, engineering challenges, archeological aspects and the preservation of the site, and toensure we kept the public, the council, BANES, customers, and unhappy members of the public informed.

Client Testimonial

John Armstrong, Director and General Manager, British Pipeline Agency. (Formerly of E.ON Energy).

“Sunflower Newsroom are creative and insightful professionals. They are a pleasure to work with and bring a unique flair to everything they create.”

How developers support communities directly.

Constructors often have multiple projects running to support the local communities they develop in, sometimes through the recruitment of local-people into apprenticeships and jobs, the gifting of money to good causes, the lending of construction equipment, and more directly their time and expertise. Sunflower Newsroom helped capture various aspects of Crest Nicholson's community relationships as shown in this short video.

Sunflower film and edit compelling testimonial films.

A testimonial film from a professional storytelling company such as Sunflower Newsroom, Building Authentic Connections can be the tool needed to capture the attention of your next group of happy customers. The CEO of Crest Nicholson at the time commented, "This film is the best piece of marketing we have ever done in the history of the company." That was a great feeling, especially as Sunflower were left to our own devices to capture these two stories, and to then weave them into this fab film.

What is placemaking?

Capturing the raw engineering of a project as it works in harmony to create a new landscape fascinates Sunflower. This film at Campbell Wharf in Milton Keynes captures that part of the construction and engineering journey.

Capturing projects from start to finish.

There is nothing better than seeing a building, park, school, energy center or landscaped area finished or near completion.
